Engineering covers more than you might think, and at CPA, there’s plenty of opportunity to discover where your interests could take you. We offer apprenticeships across our three specialist divisions, giving you the chance to develop practical skills, gain recognised qualifications and learn from experienced engineers while working on real projects.
Each apprenticeship focuses on a particular area of engineering, allowing you to build specialist knowledge while being part of the wider CPA team.
Compressed air plays an important role in keeping factories and industrial facilities running. As an apprentice in our Compressed Air division, you’ll gain hands-on experience working with industrial air compressors and associated equipment, learning how systems are installed, serviced, maintained and kept operating efficiently.
From manufacturing processes to temperature-sensitive environments, refrigeration systems are essential to many industries. Our Refrigeration apprentices develop practical experience with industrial and commercial cooling systems, learning about installation, servicing, fault-finding and the technology behind reliable temperature control.
Our Controlled Air division focuses on managing airflow, temperature and ventilation within buildings and industrial environments. Apprentices have the opportunity to learn about a range of technologies, including ventilation systems, cooling solutions and Enershield Air Barriers, gaining an understanding of how these systems help businesses create more efficient and comfortable environments.
Although you’ll develop specialist skills within your chosen division, you’ll also be part of the wider CPA engineering team. With expertise across different technologies and industries, there’s plenty of opportunity to learn from others, broaden your understanding of engineering and see how different systems work together.
You don’t need to know everything about engineering before you start. That’s what an apprenticeship is for! We’re looking for people who are enthusiastic about learning, enjoy solving problems and are ready to get involved.
Ideally, you’ll be someone who:
Previous engineering experience isn’t essential. What matters most is having the right attitude, a willingness to learn and an interest in developing your skills.
Thinking about taking your first step into engineering? We’re now welcoming expressions of interest for our 2027 apprenticeship intake.
Whether you’re leaving school, currently studying or considering a new career path, we’d love to hear from you.
