Compressed Air – Improving Production Uptime

The Challenge

The air compressors were not supplying the correct volume of air demanded by the process machines. As a result, it was creating costly downtime in the factory.

The Solution

We analysed the challenge and after understood the customer requirements and objectives, we concluded that the best solution would be to increase the capacity of the air compressors. We installed a controller that would switch compressors to share run time in the event of an increase in air demand. These changes have eliminated production downtime due to air depletion, eliminated breakdowns of the compressors and reduced servicing costs, and balanced the overall running of the compressed air system.
