Improving occupant wellbeing and typically saving up to 15% on energy costs.
Air-conditioning systems contain cooling coils designed to cool the warm outside ambient air This cooling process produces moisture which, combined with entrained bacterial and mould microbes present in the outside air, creates an optimum environment for the growth of these cooling coil associated biofilms.
The high power, high-efficiency UVGI units are installed at the cooling coils where the UV-C radiation breaks the DNA of the biofilm, killing it and preventing regrowth. As a result, coils are cleaned to their core, and the air is cleaned as it passes through the coil providing continual cleaning and a permanent solution. Keeping the coils and drain pans clean and eliminating this pathogenic source will have a positive effect on your indoor air quality and energy efficiency.
These units can be installed in either existing or new HVAC coils
