The entrance of our customer’s paint shop was not enclosed, therefore paint was escaping the room and leaving blotches in the adjoining area. Not only did this leave the adjoining area messy and unclean, but there was also risk of contaminated air travelling across rooms. Additionally, the stairs on the right hand-side of the door protruded over the entrance, causing further issue.
As a result, our customer came to us in search of an effective way to confine the paint shop, taking the stairs into account.
After we thoroughly assessed the site, we proposed the installation of a Fast Action Door. The Fast Action Door was designed to facilitate rapid access; it can effectively enclose an area, as requested by the customer, while still providing an easy passageway between rooms. To address the issue created by the positioning of the stairs, we widened the doorway and left the louvres open on the right-hand side of the door. This allows air to enter the paint shop, promoting a safe and healthy environment within the workspace.
The Fast Action Door now provides a secure passageway, operating with buttons on either side and remains open until a button is pressed again to close, as was the customer’s desire. The door safely partitions the paint shop, preventing contamination, maintaining cleanliness, and easing airflow. The customer is extremely satisfied with the final installation, and we have since received positive feedback from them.
