Driving Sustainability – Achieving a 61% Carbon Reduction with a Holistic Approach

Key Objectives

The Challenge

Nowadays, sustainability is a top priority for many businesses. Not only does it reduce your impact on the environment, but it can also make your business more appealing to potential clients whilst cutting your energy bills.

At CPA Group, many of our customers approach us with the main goal of reducing their carbon footprint.

It was the number one priority for this whisky distiller. Initial plans were to remove an existing gas heater and replace it with an air source heat pump to help drastically reduce their carbon footprint.  However, after the initial inspection we determined that there were opportunities to further increase the efficiency and sustainability of this whisky distillers’ facilities. With the project upscaled, our team could provide additional solutions that would also assist in the reduction of carbon.

The Solution

We identified that a holistic approach would be the most effective way to optimise our client’s facility. By integrating a combination of solutions designed to work seamlessly together, we maximised energy efficiency and delivered measurable results.

Following a detailed survey, our team developed a strategic plan to tackle three critical areas: rising energy costs, inefficient energy usage, and the client’s ambitious sustainability goals. The focus areas were heating, cooling, and ventilation—key elements for creating a more sustainable and cost-efficient operation.

Below are the best-in-class technologies that formed the perfect solution for this whisky distiller’s facility:

The Result

This customer reported excellent results from the integrated solutions installed.
