Scottish Leather Group is a leading UK manufacturer of sustainable leather, supplying high-quality products to a wide range of industries.
During planned CPA maintenance, wear and tear was identified on the roller shutter door. It was recommended that the door be replaced to prevent unauthorised access and improve the site’s security, particularly as it is located adjacent to a public footpath
Scottish Leather Group therefore required a solution ensuring security to strengthen site protection whilst maintaining access for deliveries.
After a comprehensive assessment of the site, CPA decided that conducting a complete replacement of the existing roller shutter door was the most appropriate solution. The extent of the damage meant that any repair would have been neither economical nor capable of providing the required level of safety and security. As such, a full replacement allowed for the most reliable and long-term outcome for the site.
Due to the nature of the security concerns, the project was completed within a two-day timeframe. To minimise the period during which the site was vulnerable, the existing door was removed and the new roller shutter door installed on the same day.
As part of the upgrade, new fixings were installed into the brickwork to enhance structural integrity, and any gaps behind the roller shutter legs were fully sealed to further improve site security.
The replacement door has not only improved the overall appearance of the entrance but has also provided a significant increase in site security. With the site now better protected against unauthorised access, Scottish Leather Group was highly satisfied with the outcome and commended the CPA team for completing the work efficiently within the tight deadline.
