Improving Ventilation and Comfort in the Syrup Room at a Soft Drinks Manufacturer

Our Customer

Our customer is a large softs drinks manufacturer, producing and distributing a wide range worldwide.

Objectives

The Challenge

Due to the age and deteriorating condition of the existing air handling unit (AHU) at the facility, the syrup room was no longer receiving sufficient air circulation. This resulted in stale air accumulating within the facility, creating an uncomfortable working environment for staff.

In addition to reduced air quality, inconsistent ventilation also affected temperature control within the area, raising concerns around both employee comfort and operational efficiency. Our customer therefore required a solution improving ventilation and comfort conditions within their facility.

The Solution

As the existing AHU had damaged beyond repair, it was deemed uneconomical to carry out further servicing. Following a full assessment, the decision was made to disconnect and remove the faulty unit entirely before installing a new replacement AHU in its place.

Once positioned, the AHU was carefully assembled and bolted together in accordance with specifications. Our engineers then completed the installation of the electrical supply and carried out all necessary connections to ensure the system operated correctly and efficiently. The new unit was also integrated with the existing ductwork, which was subsequently lagged and insulated by to improve thermal efficiency and overall system performance.

Following installation, proper airflow and air circulation were re-introduced to the syrup room.

The Result

Our customer is very happy with the performance of the new AHU and has noticed a significant improvement within the syrup room. The increased circulation of fresh air has eliminated the previous issues with stale air, creating a fresher and more comfortable working environment for employees.
